Adhesive failed after first rain

Purchased to apply vertical stripes to 12 inch plastic traffic cones. The tape seemed sufficiently tacky when applied, and new cones were made by cleaning the surface with alcohol, but within hours. During a light drizzle, the tape began peeling off, starting at the top of the cones. Maybe the tape would have worked better on a completely flat surface, but it failed for my application (even result with 24 cones on 3 rolls of tape)
