The exterior design is actually quite nice. I particularly like that the midsections are solid metal rather than plastic or some sort of assembly of different parts glued together. They are also VERY compact to transport. even smaller than some of the other "foldable" binoculars I own. The optics leave a lot to be desired. You can see the subject very well in the center, but the distorted outer edge you'd expect with cheaper optics is about twice as noticeable as I'd think ignored.
