I know they look cheap but don't

Received them on a whim when ordering extra long rivets from ARP. They were cheap enough that I figured if they worked great, if not, no big deal. Both packages arrived at the same time, so I opened them up and tried threading the tabs onto the studs by hand. 85% made it to the middle of the thread before stopping. I took the bolts and ran them through the feeler gauge, they were perfect, ARP does a great job. Then I set up a crane and ran over some ledges to see if I could save her. There was so much excess metal coming out of the threads that they were 100% certain they would clog any OEM bolts they were worn on. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! After cleaning the threads I went to check the tightness of the bolts. 15 of 20 are only 3/4 screwed onto the bolts. WHAT? After getting confused and flipping it over looking for the cause, I noticed that the actual threaded bolt hole was not drilled in the exact center of the stud. Most of them are offset by a few degrees, causing the flared lip to make contact with the wall of the lip as soon as it exits the threaded portion of the lip. If you tighten the wheel, the cone seat will not touch the wheel evenly. This can and DEFINITELY will damage the cleated saddle on the aluminum wheel. Cliff Notes: - Will damage the factory bolts because the threads are crappy. - Damages aluminum wheels because they don't sit straight even if you manage to fix the threads. Returned.

Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
