I'm trying to downsize and replace my old hamper, ironing board and laundry hamper, and if there's an opportunity for one appliance to serve a dual function, take it i it PROS My old basket was the only wicker basket for everything. I usually empty the basket on my bedroom floor to separate it into dark, light and towels. The three bags in this unit were perfect for pre-sorting and storing the rest of my laundry until I was ready to wash them. Pockets are big enough to fit a full load of clothes, and mesh is a good idea because it lets towels breathe. Even the handles feel solid and have a special coating to keep your hands from cutting. I also liked that I wanted to get rid of my old ironing board. It was too big and difficult to store. I read some reviews that said the finish wasn't strong enough to protect the wood from steam so I bought two separate covers - a protective iron all over and a wood quilted mat. I probably overdid it, but I loved the makeover. Also, it was very easy to assemble and appears to be very durable. So the professional conclusion is that this device has solved three problems with functionality and storage. It replaced: 1) my old wicker basket, 2) my ironing board, and 3) the white plastic laundry basket I used to carry laundry to the machines in my basement. The plan was to roll everything into the back closet. wherever you can see. That brings us to the only argument I've found. CONS: There's really only one downside: this block is bigger than I imagined. Yes, I measured it, but until you actually see the assembled device, it's hard to imagine its full size. In width, it would fit in a closet, but the closet frame is smaller than its storage size, so the device doesn't roll into it. But that's not the fault of the block. I would say if you live in a very small space this might not be the best solution. In fact, it's the size that allows you to store so much laundry and provide a convenient ironing board. It just means I have it in an alcove in the back of my room that I was hoping to empty.
