I usually wear an XL, but bought this jacket in a 2X after reading reviews. It fits large but I wanted lots of room to wear in the house and pull around me on chilly days. The 2X does pull all the way across the chest. Too baggy to wear as a jacket but it does what I want. It is one layer of soft soft sherpa style fabric.I also bought the XL, my regular size, and it fits fine. The jacket edges meet in the front, lapels can overlap about 4 inches. This is more wearable looking, boxy, but still works without looking like a wearable blanket.Bought friend in Duluth the 2X (she is also size XL). Showed her pictures and she wanted the larger size for snuggle and sleep during the chilly evenings.
