After about 40 plugging/unplugging the USB Type-C charging cable for my new Asus ZenBook UX425E, I noticed that the plastic parts inside the tiny Type-C connector were becoming too tight began to deform and under the magnifying glass missing plastic. To make sure it doesn't get stuck in a port on the laptop (which is obviously much more premium), I ordered this short cable as a disposable extension to an OEM charger for $65. The OEM charger has a socket that's permanently attached to the wall socket (plug in a USB-C cable at both ends - thanks to Asus for that). This cable works great - note I only use it for charging. The quality seems very high. Fits snugly into laptop port - doesn't hang out, stays in place. When it comes down to it, this is a very nice braided cable with nice red aluminum ends. Asus needs to make its cables look just as good. For my particular use, this cable is great and saves me from having to replace an expensive charger apparently every three months or so.
