John Boos Maple End Grain Cutting Board, 20" x 15" x 2.25" I've been looking at this for a year. It sold for $185-$125 and I jumped. I cook every day. I've been watching this board for over a year. I haven't gotten around to reading these reviews. I'm skeptical of reviews and this is my second review. Let me tell you how disappointed I am. Not once, not twice, but three times. This board isn't for anyone. I know Boos and I told him not to put hot clothes on him. Don't let water get on it. It's not my fault. Not at all. I cared I asked for the original and TWO replacements. As soon as the cellophane wrapper appeared I immediately poured in Boos brand oil and left overnight. Next day apply Boos Signature Cream and leave overnight. Each board has on random places a split between pieces of wood. I suspect they use a different glue than they use to make quality products. Bought in December and replaced in January after splitting into three parts. The replacement split after two weeks. Thank you for contacting John Boos. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. It is very common for the end boards to come loose occasionally. Mystery Oil should re-swell the block if you don't see improvement. Contact us by the end of April and we'll take a closer look. I'm not sure why they wanted me to wait, but I did and there was no difference. Don't magically pull the two pieces of wood together over time. 5/2/17 I told them it wouldn't be magic for you to contact John Boos. We apologize for the inconvenience you had. I will send you another replacement board. Please confirm the quantity of your board and the full address where I need to send the replacement. In stock 26.05.17. asked if it was a bad batch and they asked for another charge but they couldn't do it. On the second exchange they said, "We ship thousands upon thousands of boards and we very rarely have a problem. Maybe the glue just isn't holding properly. I'm sorry for the inconvenience." I don't know exactly when I got a replacement in late May or June 2017 but 6 months have passed and now the 3rd board is separating. They will be the 3rd and LAST replacement send but they are delayed another 3 weeks.(AGAIN).Probably because they are not up to the task of life.They will not be refunded because I bought here from Revain!DO NOT BUY!John Boos Reversible Maple Cutting Board End Grain, 20"x15"x2.25"
