Review on πŸ”Œ 1" TPU Filament by NOVAMAKER by Wayne Moody

Looks good and produces very durable parts

I've printed a lot of materials (okay, lots of models under 1kg) with this roll of clear PETG on my Ender 3 Pro. I have found that at 230-235Β°C very strong parts with good surface finishes are obtained. Bed adhesion is decent when I print the first layer very slowly, around 9mm/s. I should probably increase the bed temp from 65C, but I am currently using a Creality magnetic countertop and it gets wobbly/not flat if I increase the temp above 65C. On parts wider than 5mm when first coated, adhesion to the substrate is good and warping was not an issue. For narrower parts I either build 0.4mm spacers/skirts into the model or use 3mm skirts with a slicer to prevent warping. Very low tension with increased retraction distance. I usually use a 5mm cable with PLA. I'm using Prusa Slicer 2.2.0, here are the settings that worked for me: Hotend: 235C. Print the last/top layer at 230Β°C for a high quality finish. Layer: 65C. Retraction: 8 mm at 40 mm/s, retraction 20 mm/s. Z Jump: 0.28mm 30% 2 skin layers with 3 firm top layers and 2 firm bottom layers provide good definition - looks like an ice cube! Fan out for everything except bridges/ledges. Too bad I can't find a PETG regular color at Novamaker. A nice solid blue or green with this beautiful print would be great.
