I bought two of these after living in Nevada for 1.5 years to protect two Kymco X-Town 300i scooters from direct sunlight. The first cases I bought were made of a silver material that was only supposed to reflect the sun. They lasted 6 months, after which they began to tear at each stress point. The company's proportionate costs for the replacement almost corresponded to the new costs. Very disappointed. The second suitcases I bought from another company were very bulky and heavy, so much so that the wind picked them up and turned them into parachutes. Dust and dirt swirled up from below, making the dust cover useless. The final straw was that the bottom "pinch" straps came loose from the cover along the seam. Bad design. All along I've been thinking about a stretchable cover that is fully breathable and lightweight with the sole purpose of protecting the seat, gauges, handles and most plastic parts from direct sunlight. I found this bedspread and ordered two - they fit perfectly because they are very stretchy and extremely breathable because the fabric is very light and stretchy like a set of purple sheets. If these covers really help protect against the sun's rays, they're worth it.
