. The base is very high quality, the welds are strong, polished without spatter. The paint appears to be well applied, no streaks or chips. I'm very impressed with the quality of the base BUT as with anything, the weakest part can cause problems. In this case, the included plastic wheels support your stand. IF you never move it there, there probably never will be a problem. We moved the rack every day of the sale and we had to make sure the wheel didn't fall out so we had to buy 5/16 inch threaded steel wheels to replace them. Also, none of the wheels that came with it had a locking option. a place where the shelf can move unexpectedly when customers and moving goods are on display.
