Review on Dynatron K17 πŸ’¨ Cooling Fan with Heatsink by Gabriel Tomato

High quality 92mm cooler for Socket 1155

I bought this fan after a long search. I have a Gigabyte Mini-ITX motherboard. On it, the CPU socket is close enough to the RAM modules and the PCI-E slot. So the CM 212 EVO cooler I had didn't fit in any configuration other than the fan facing away from the PCI-E slot. So the hot air from the fan blew directly onto the back of the graphics card. Also, this airflow was directly perpendicular to the flow inside the case (Fenix Prodigy, black). So I decided to use a 92mm fan and heatsink combo. In my ideal cooler, I needed three things: 1) It had to cost less than $50. When a great cooler like the CM 212 EVO can be had for $35, then there's no reason why a 92mm cooler should cost more than that price. 2) It had to be robustly constructed. I mean copper tubing, aluminum fins and an overall good build quality. 3) It should have had spring loaded screws. I've seen quite a few 92mm coolers with clip-on mounts. After reading many reviews I've come to the conclusion that the clips a) can damage the motherboard and b) don't distribute the load on the processor well. In short, the Dynatron K17 seemed to have everything I needed. The only downside was that I couldn't find any reviews for it (Newegg had a few and Revain only had one). But as soon as it arrived I realized that the Dynatron K17 is indeed the perfect cooler for my needs. It's solidly built, easy to install, and cools my i5-4570K well. VERY VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY. I'm really surprised that the price is so low. I would even buy this cooler for $50. A believable story.
