I have long planned to add sun and reversing cameras to my closed trailer and am slowly assembling the parts. But it wasn't until I dug into the solar panel that I noticed this type of through-hole protection. All I had to do was drill a few holes in the roof, protect the cut metal, and "glue and screw" that over the holes. Best of all, I never expected to find something that screws and bolts on so easily and provides a watertight seal around my cables. I'm sure there are thousands of variations on this type of device, but this one worked perfectly and was just what I needed.
