Doesn't work with Mophie Power Force case

First a little annoyance, I ordered the blue case, I got the red one. I have the Mophie Charge Force Case and the Mophie Charge Force Wireless Charging Pad. Both the Mophie case and case have magnets to properly align the case with the charger. It works, but not well enough. Qi charging is EXTREMELY sensitive to placement. I keep it on my bedside table and charge it at night. When I first put it on, I hear a happy charging noise, sometimes yes, but rarely. I usually hear the sound again after a few seconds, indicating that charging has finished. I've learned to adjust the position of the case a bit to have a better chance of charging longer, usually only 3 or 4 changes are needed. Then it charges for a while. As usual, it may take a few hours to fully charge your phone after a day of use. Once it's fully charged, the Mophie case and pad combo will somehow stop delivering enough power to the phone to stop charging. You think it's good, but it's VERY BAD. It turns on and off every few seconds. The sound of loading and unloading every few seconds. Turn on the screen. This wakes me up EVERY NIGHT so I have to manually unplug my phone. I tried muting my phone and putting something on the screen so the light wouldn't wake me up, but then it vibrated and woke me up. My current solution is to connect to a Bluetooth earbud so I can't hear it. It keeps me from waking up. Unfortunately, this is probably not good for the phone's battery and circuitry. When I wake up, I still take it off the charger. The end result is sleep breaks, a slightly undercharged phone in the morning, and a completely drained Bluetooth earbud. I expect the highest quality from the Mophie brand. Since the cover and pillow are made for each other, I expect them to work well together. Unfortunately it isn't. I was planning to buy a car mount and a desk mount for work. I don't intend to buy because I expect the same problems. I can't waste the trouble of adjusting the phone's position in the car charger while driving. I can't justify spending money on a desktop charger that I have to constantly fiddle with to keep it charged.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
