Like some others, 1 earring was missing a stone from my set! It is very difficult to tell in advance if a stone is missing as it is in a plastic cylinder. So test/use it before piercing your own or someone else's ear! You can easily take it off and then put it back together. Luckily I just got my ears pierced again. So I can just take them out and replace them with other earrings. However, if it is your first time getting pierced, you should leave it on for about 6 weeks. There are only two options: work on the missing stone in one of your earrings for a few weeks or remove it, wait for the holes to heal completely and try again in a few weeks. You also risk infection if you do the latter. So yes, check your piercing guns ahead of time to make sure the stones are actually in them. The earrings themselves are ok, slightly larger than I expected. Although the light really shines. To be honest, if you're getting your ears pierced for the first time, you're probably better off with a simple stud with no stone. This way you don't have to deal with a missing or dropped gem. I was able to easily get one from Revain as a replacement, but it took over a week to ship, even with Prime shipping.
