Review on Singerman Labs Concrete Rust Remover - Convert 22 oz into 1 Gallon by Richard Alemayehu

Works 95% on new stains, not old

My guest was cleaning his daughter's car battery in the driveway. A big ugly patch of rust remained. Over the past 50 years I have tried various methods to remove rust stains from concrete, all with poor results. This stuff was amazing at removing the NEW SPOT. The new stain is 95% gone. BUT I tried it on some old patches and it did next to nothing. I don't know if it's because they're old, or if they were caused by something else, or if I've tried other solutions to remove them in the past. This makes this material excellent for removing fresh rust stains from car battery cleaning (must be from the car frame because batteries don't rust but the acid they contain can damage the metal in the car frame). In any case, this problem is solved. my problem. My advice is to wipe that stain while it's still fresh. My spot was less than a week old. Oh, and it didn't stain the concrete like other rust removers I've tried in the past. Don't try muriatic acid, it will remove the shit from your driveway (ask me how I know). Lastly, I mixed 1 cup of the powder with 5 1/3 cups of water. I think that was the right ratio, but I was in a hurry so you should probably do the math yourself. In the photos, the rust in the "after" picture is old rust from a previous leak (previous owner). If you have a fresh spot of rust try this, it definitely worked for me. Too bad they don't sell trial sizes so you can see if it works for you. I would suggest reading reviews to see if anyone else has tried removing a stain like yours. Much luck.

Pros
