Review on Nikon 50mm f/1.8D Lens: Perfect for Nikon DSLR Cameras! by Anson Chen ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Everything is fine, there are only minor drawbacks.

I bought it as a cheap version of a portrait lens on a crop. For filming together, when the main 1.4G is used by the wife. It shoots excellently for its money, but the money is small and the quality is corresponding. Better than a "whale", but worse than any brothers . Has some pros 1. Lightweight. 2. Compact. 3. Fast. 4. Quite sharp from aperture 2.2. 5. So cheap that it is a must for everyone who is not going to invest a lot of money in equipment. Has cons: 1. Soaps in comparison with 1.4G (but it costs 13-14 thousand) 2. Without motor (manual focus on younger carcasses). If you don't want to bother, buy the G version for 8-9 thousand. 3. Creepy HA on contrasting objects. Do not try to shoot their silhouettes, etc. 4. "Nuts" in the bokeh . I don't know if this is a drawback? in some way even cool.
