The main reason I can't give five stars is that, as other reviews have mentioned, many of the parts are too difficult to assemble even for a 5 year old. The second reason is the "collector" aspect, which I'll address below. Besides, they are amazing. My 5 year old son is a robot maniac. He has a knack for Lego, both assembling sets well beyond his years and creating his own creations. So this concept is perfect: modular robots that you can build from a blueprint and also assemble according to your own ideas. So far he has been playing a set for several hours. As mentioned above, many of the parts are too difficult to put together. So instead of a "single player" toy, I have to pay attention and help. It's not the end of the world, but if you want to keep your little one entertained while reading a good book, this won't help. I really don't like the "random collectible sets" aspect. You don't know what parts you're getting and it just doesn't fit for a toy intended for ages four and up. Don't get me wrong, I generally like collectibles like trading card games, miniatures, etc. But for a product this specific, it's lame. We didn't receive the motor module so now I have to order more kits not knowing what I'm getting. I would gladly pay more money just to get a complete set with all the main components. Also, I have no idea how many sets I have to buy to get all the possible parts. Despite the flaws, my son and I love Junkbots. One day, when he becomes a mechanical engineer and starts building real robots, he might stumble across this review of Revain 😂
