Review on Norsk Strikkedesign Collection Foremost Designers by Doris Tran

This book is an eye catcher and gets five stars. The photography is incredibly beautiful and the design is wonderful. Each of the featured designers has a brief biography discussing the sources of their design inspiration and presents two designs. In some cases they include more than one garment, e.g. B. a vest with a matching jacket. Each designer clearly went above and beyond. So why only four stars? Because for a very expensive book that is to be used, there are some disadvantages. You get a photo of each part, and as is so often the case in books of this nature, in some photos the "art" triumphs over the utility. There are models where you cannot see the details of the clothes, which really help you figure out what it looks like in real life and if you want to spend months making it. There are tiny additional shots of some of the clothes, but not enough in my opinion. The graphics are big and full, which is great, and printed in full color. In some cases, however, the colors are so dark or lacking in contrast that they disturb the eye. I bought this book because I want to do one of the drawings and found a few others that I like - so I think the money I spent was worth it, especially as there are a few tiny extra photos in the design chosen by me. . this is great and printed in full color.
