I often visit short vacation rental markets around the country. Currently, about 75% of the places we've been have one or more outlets with built-in USB sockets. This makes it much easier to participate in this electronically networked world. This model is GFCI protected, which in turn protects you from injury to your renters. The best from both worlds! It's so handy I've added it to every bedroom and kitchen in my own home! I don't have to worry about which of my kids grabbed the charging box as they are immobile now! All I need is a USB cable and I still have access to power outlets! No! It's not the fastest. But it's the most convenient, and it far outweighs speed. My wife loves listening to her books on her phone before bed, so this outlet along with the 10" USB cable means she'll never have a dead phone again! This particular model is a bit pricey BUT it also includes GFCI protection. Most others are not. So you can use this socket in the bathroom, kitchen or other potentially wet areas. Other non-GFCI outlets cannot be safely used in these locations. So yes I would wholeheartedly recommend this outlet and I have one of these in my RV, kitchen and all three bedrooms.
