Review on HAOHAIO BP96 01472A Replacement BP96 01471A BP96 01578A by Luckie Coonrod

5⭐ to 2⭐ in about a month.

Changed from 5 stars to 2. This lamp fixed my 13 year old Samsung 56" DLP. My TV turned on for about 30 seconds and then turned off. When it turned off, three lights flashed. After I... had watched a few videos on YouTube, they all said it was a bad bulb, they all also recommended cleaning the fans and other internal components from dust, as this is the main cause of premature bulb burnout, the TV separately is difficult to dust. The only tool needed is a Phillips screwdriver and unplugging some wires and removing about 20 screws to fix the outer cover most securely. The actual replacement of the bulb is very simple.Remove one screw from the cover, loosen the tab to remove the plastic air duct and the second screw to remove the bulb follow simply reverse these steps. All the videos emphasize not to touch the bulb's glass, there was no warning on the bulb itself to eat over it. I can't say how long the bulb will last, but my TV worked fine for 6 hours after installing the new bulb. I'm happy because the less than $30 part saved me hundreds of dollars and kept this dinosaur off the junkyard a little longer! 1 month later 2 stars less. My TV is still working and won't turn off. I recently noticed that the image brightness fluctuates every few minutes. The image is still visible, just annoying. DLPs gradually lighten as they "warm up". After 5 minutes it should work. A few hours later this is still happening. This reminds me how to change your phone's screen brightness. You have no control over the TV. I would recommend buying a different bulb.
