I've had one of these for over a year so I bought a second one for my daughter. Perhaps the experience with him couldn't be better. Even though it's plastic, it's strong enough to hold the bottles I've used. It is very convenient that you can adjust it according to the size of the bottle and hold it very firmly. This is especially important when I have longer 24 ounce bottles for long trips. I've even used some of the square bottles that are used in some juices and they are all held firmly by this holder. If I can say one negative thing about it, it's not very shiny and it fades a bit in a shiny bike. But who cares what the bottle cage looks like? If you're a fashionista you might want to look elsewhere, but if you're practical then you can't ask for anything else. it and the plastic are very similar, almost to the point where it looks dark gray instead of black. There are no complaints about the functionality, but the looks aren't the same.
