It's a bit awkward to wear them barefoot, but they can wear shoes or my latest invention, a faster mop! I bought one a while ago and didn't like it (it wasn't a spray, it was just a regular wand with a flat mop on the end) and I hated using cloths because: a. they may just keep a room, then dry and b. bad for the environment. While these things can be wetted, used, and then washed. Wipes very well, especially when compared to napkins. I really like it, it's easy, affordable and fast. I fill a spray bottle with some water, some vinegar, spray all over the floor or just the dirty spots, then wet a sock (this product), then attach it to your mop, then mop! When you're done, take it off and throw it in the laundry!
