Review on Walker Quiet-Flow 53315 Performance Exhaust Muffler Assembly by Robert Hines

This muffler appears to be of excellent quality. Walker is a big name from the USA. I'm not a mechanic but installed it in 1.5 hours (2.0 hours total with prep and cleaning). The hardest part, as mentioned, was removing the old muffler from the rubber mount. I sprayed silicone spray into the opening of the rubber strap to make it easier to remove - it seems to have helped. I used a 4" angle grinder with a metal cutting blade to cut off the old pipe. I could have used a Sawzall with a metal blade but a clipped blade worked fine. I used 3M blue masking tape to mark a spot around the pipe .Make sure you measure your cut correctly.I used a metal file to get rid of the sharp edges and clean up the end.I then used a green abrasive sponge to clean the original end of the pipe where the muffler flange would sit.Fit the exhaust clamp , tighten, done. Everything went very well and looks good. My car is quiet again and the neighbors are happy!
