This is the best. If it's raining and you need to patch the roofing, this is the way to go. Use one of these connectors. Use Polysealant Dap 18816. And use Roofing Screws with Grommets to tighten about every 3 inches all the way around. The underside has thin rubber studs and the metal is soft, so the whole thing seals very well even on rough surfaces. The sealer hardens when wet and does an excellent job. If you do this, you will have no trouble sealing your roof penetrations, even in heavy rain.
