Tire may be too heavy
I fitted this strap to my jeep and while it was really easy to put on I don't think it has the strength I was looking for. When I open the tailgate it sags about a half or 3/4 of an inch and I have to slam it shut to align and close properly. It's a great hinge, but I don't know if it's strong enough to hold a 26 x 14.33 inch tire that weighs about 142 pounds.
