Like many other people, the Elite v1 controller's grip has started to peel off. I was very annoyed because the controller was otherwise in perfect condition and I didn't want to exchange it. I googled for replacement grips (people recommend scuf grips) and while searching for those products I came across this product. I can disassemble the electronics to fix them but I watched the installation video and the side handles just fell off. They send a tool with a handle, but once you see it pop out you can just rip it off with your hand. The interchangeable handle fits perfectly. The plastic on black matches the controller exactly. The rubber part of the grip fits the other rubber of the controller exactly. I'm pretty picky and thought, ah, this is better than buying a $180 controller, but it's perfect. You can't tell the difference. I'm a bit shocked at how cheap and easy this whole thing was that MS doesn't just ship them out to people for free, but $15 isn't that much to save on an expensive controller. I'm really happy with this product.
