Stops working after 5 weeks. Very poor quality

This remote stopped working 5 days after the return period had closed. It seemed cheap and of poor quality, I then had to return it. It worked last night, but this morning it doesn't work at all. It's not about batteries or anything like that, my husband is tech savvy.
