These are cute necklaces. Yes, they are silver plated. This means that people who complain don't understand that silver tarnishes. Silver plating will tarnish so use a silver jewelry cleaner to keep the silver shiny. The problem is solved! I ordered these in a hurry thinking I was getting 24 inch chains. My mistake. Each chain is packed separately. I can use them to make necklaces for little people. Most of my jewelry is 24 inches or larger. But the quality seems very good. The chains are about 1mm, so they are thin. I usually use 3mm chain links, but these work as well. The value for money is really good.
