Compact and functional

Overall, this OBDII code scanner has all the basic functions and then some. It was able to connect to my machine quickly. It showed error codes clearly and clearing them was intuitive. I have several other OBDII code scanner/readers (see photo) and this one retrieves the same data (and in some cases more) than the others for OBDII data. You can also read and erase codes. You can use this for actual troubleshooting using real time live data streams from O2 sensors, A/F sensors, long and short term fuel trims and 40 other PID data. You can also view Mode6 data. My older units don't receive Mode6 data and don't have Air and Fuel sensor PIDs so even newer vehicles with A/F sensors show them as O2 PIDs. Overall, it gets the job done, and for a $25 code scanner, that's a great score. Note: The 34 inch cable was long enough for me to use while sitting in the front seat and holding the device. A few things to know that some might consider cons (but again this is a $25 tool) PID 2. No flowchart 3. There are a lot of shortcuts so you may need to look some up to know, what you see 4. The screen is small (but that also makes it compact and easy to stow in the glove box). Despite the "cons" for the price, I feel like you're getting a great tool that does the job it's designed to do. So for me it's 5 stars.
