I didn't end up buying this backpack but it's well made, very light and comfortable. I'm going to be climbing Mount Rainier next year, so I'm looking for a lightweight backpack that can carry up to 40 pounds while being as comfortable as possible, as well as holding an ice ax and trekking poles. This backpack ticks all of those boxes, but ultimately I decided to keep looking as I would like a few more pockets (this one has no other than zipped pockets and hip belt straps) and a separate sleeping bag compartment at the bottom for other trips. , due to the slightly higher weight of the package. This backpack has a removable top cover with an additional cover and fully adjustable shoulder and waist straps. My torso size is 16.5 inches, which is right between XS and S, so I tried both. To be honest I could have chosen both, but the S felt a bit more comfortable. This backpack does not include a rain cover. While I decided to look for another set to use in different riding scenarios, this pack is excellent (like most Osprey gear!) and I recommend trying it out.
