Review on Beck Arnley 131 2158 Water Pump by Douglas Cochrane

This aftermarket water pump is a perfect match for my 2000 Mazda Protege 1.6 engine and the impeller seems to last longer than the stock water pump. The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is because the literature provided only talks about replacing a traditional water pump on an old Detroit truck or car that connects directly to the fan behind the radiator. Also, there is no info/diagrams on the included black rubber "ding" or o-ring. If you are ordering this replacement part, I strongly recommend that you order a replacement timing belt, timing belt tensioner, upper and lower radiator. Hose and thermostat and antifreeze. Get a flush kit and flush _before_ you pull out the old water pump. Do not attempt to replace this material without a repair manual written specifically for the vehicle make/model.
