Review on Clover CL8800 Embroidery Stitching Tool by Denise Davis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

subjective; Basic needle embroidery tool. Mild learning curve and patience.

This kit includes a medium/fine needle, pen, needle case, needle threader and instructions. I would consider it about the size of a thick colored pencil in width and slightly longer than the short pencils used in an Ikea retail store or on a golf course. The instructions are good but a bit misleading. It doesn't really tell you how many strands to use initially, but it does have a mini chart that gives vague information about 3 strands and stitches per length. Let me reiterate that this set includes their "intermediate" version of the needle. This is convenient for 2 skeins of DMC cotton embroidery thread and provides good thread feed when in use. I used 3 strands Madeira (viscose) machine embroidery thread with excellent results. The needle enters freely from the bottom of the pen so you can position it for the stitch depth you want, then turn the green dial on the pen. to tighten. In addition to clear instructions, there are some great instruction videos online. If you enjoy reading books, I recommend Pam Gurney's Punch Needle Creations and Marina Stewart's Punch Needle The Complete Guide. They give a very detailed overview of all the inputs and outputs of the perforating needle, including the fabrics, stitch types and materials required. Punch needle embroidery uses a series of stitches and a simple method to create an image of your choosing. This is very simple, but the results can vary depending on the buttonhole size, thread, fabric and punching technique. You can secure the stitches with non-abrasive glue and/or fusible pad. If you would like to vary the number of embroidery threads (single, 3, 6 or for cotton thread) other needle sizes for this set are available here on Revain from various manufacturers. There is a Japanese version of needle point embroidery called bunka shishu that can imitate the beauty of oil painting using a special viscose thread and needle stitch technique. You can use a medium-tipped needle instead of a traditional bunka needle.

I feel like this didn’t work very well and it was harder to use than just using a needle
