I have 6 dogs, large ones and although I have a big house they seem to refuse, anywhere to be except under my feet all the time. So, in order to bring some calm to the chaos, I decided to install two security gates that would allow me to cordon off two rooms so I could give my drooling beasts the option of a personal visit, but only when I wanted to visit. I've installed gates in another house before and while not particularly difficult they can be a problem especially if you don't align the hardware properly because if you don't you will have to move them around, drill another hole in a wall or molding. When I discovered these wall cups, I was skeptical at first. The? No tools required? How to drill holes in the wall? How could they be securely fastened? Well, to answer the questions, I ordered the kit, followed the simple and easy to read instructions, unpacked the gate and installed it in about 15 minutes. I pushed and pulled on the gates, tightening the locks and finding that they would not budge unless I braced them with all my might. In other words, they were safe. However, the last test was still pending. I let the dogs into the room, behind the new gate, and of course they jumped and jumped until they saw the barrier, which they happily jumped on until realizing that no paws and jabs would let them through the gate. the kitchen where I prepared breakfast, with bacon. It was heaven for me when I finally found a product that actually worked by separating me from my dogs for at least a few hours a day without actually locking them in the room. I found peace, and despite the gate, my now downtrodden dogs got a piece of lard, but on my terms, not theirs. Great product and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
