I bought this system because I was looking for LED speakers (to match my new gaming PC) that didn't cost $200 or more like Logtitechs or Razer. I've used Harmon Kardon Soundsticks III for the past few years so my review is a bit biased based on that sound performance and subsequent listening to this Cyber Acoustics system, but I'll try to be objective. Here's what I think: Pros: Only $45. Good bright LEDs for most gaming PCs. Surprisingly good sound from satellites, especially at mid and high frequencies. Good stereo separation and clarity above 300Hz. Pretty impressive for such a small/light satellite - Independent volume, bass and treble controls. Cons: - The subwoofer is tiny and therefore very weak and not at all accurate at bass frequencies. - The subwoofer will wheeze and make a very noticeable "fluttering" noise with any type of sound. deep or heavy bass - you can crank the bass control up to around 30% and avoid most of this distortion, but then you won't hear all the low frequencies you want to hear - although the bass frequencies are omni-directional as the subwoofer doesn't when you don't have enough power, you won't be able to hear much bass unless you're in a tiny room and the subwoofer is in a corner, or if the subwoofer is at the same height as your ears - which isn't really the case ideal spot for a subwoofer - Not your usual 3.5mm (1/8 inch) input - RCA only. Luckily, CA provides a 1/8" to dual RCA cable to connect to your device. Final Thoughts: To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from a $45 compact speaker. The fact that it comes with LED lighting, a dedicated subwoofer (weak as it is), and separate bass and treble controls for $45 This system is in no way affiliated with systems from Logitech, Harmon Kardon, Edifier, and other major manufacturers $100+ comparable, but it definitely fills a budget audio niche, outperforming any built-in speakers in computer monitors, laptops, or TVs Ultimately, I wouldn't recommend this system to any serious music listener, gamer, or obviously audiophile, but its price does definitely lives up to what I ended up gifting this system to my wife and my wife loves it but she is also not an audio snob like me.
