We have frequent power outages that can last anywhere from one to eight hours. We have a dual fuel generator that we can use to power critical circuits of our house. With it we can watch TV, enjoy the Internet and power a few lights and our furnace.What we can't do is cook because our stove is 240VAC which is too much for the generator. Using a butane canister and this stove, we can now make coffee or cook meals in an emergency.Let me start by saying, make sure you get the right butane cartridges for this stove. The type that are used for refilling butane torches and cigarette lighters won't work. You have the flexibility of using either butane or propane, depending on the fuel you have on hand. Everything you need is included except for the fuel cartridges.
