Those two little words not mentioned in the description must be! I waited a while before ordering and then crossed my fingers that I didn't have to send it back. I enjoy using it since I received it. If the description had said the latex was latex free I would have bought it sooner. This is a craft rug. 7 7/8" x 5 4/8" x just over 1/8". I use it for sculpting paper and fabric flowers, but I also use it when I need to pierce paper. So far it's healed well It attracts everyone to the lint, dust, and small debris that is around, so I just wrap a large piece of tape around it to 'clean' it. Works well. It's versatile and doesn't take up any space at all (I keep it with my Spellbinders). Did I mention it's latex free! :-)
