He burned a hole in the cord.
Received this to replace the one my son had. The original flashlights had the same remote control, but there was a box instead of that cord. It worked but got very hot. My son burned his hand. Then, after some inspection, I saw a hole in the cord. At first it didn't exist. It was a burned hole from the heat generated by that cable. DO NOT BUY THIS to replace the cord, make sure it is the exact cord you are replacing or it could burn your house down. We connected it in less than 10 minutes.
