Too stretchy, you have to tighten the jeans from time to time because it will slide down after sitting or something. Not entirely flat, the buckle adjuster adds a slight bulge, but on the side. The front closure is really flat. I hate the fact that every time I undo my belt, the ends tend to slip out of the front loops of my pants and hang down my sides like big spaghetti. But that I think will be a problem with any belt of this design. The belt looks neat but isn't overly attractive, it's clearly designed to be worn under shirts. I've been using it for a few months and haven't noticed any other issues. Hasn't broken yet.
