This is awful. (First let me say I've had RV's all my life so I know how to tie them down.) I bought two of these and two quick shotguns to hold my new camper. within 100 miles they worked there too liberally. I tightened them for the next hundred miles, same thing, just not just a little loose as if it were loose. (can't see them in the mirror at night) brought them home, adjusted and re-tightened, took a trip, drove about 100 miles, also stopped to check the fuel and one was missing. unscrewed (yes, I tightened the nut) and loosened somewhere at night. That's not the only problem with them. The bend on the top hook is virtually non-existent, to the point that one of the truck passengers told me he thought it was a factory defect. They barely catch the camper. Since I couldn't buy just one, the missing one was replaced with a cheaper competitor brand that didn't really catch on. what about the one that still exists? it will be replaced as soon as possible. I've used homemade zip ties which worked much better than these. If you want Thorclift to buy fastguns, they work great, they're just cheap junk.
