Powered by 2 AA 1.5V batteries included. I recommend reading the manual before using the product. It doesn't last long and I needed it as I don't think the device is very comfortable at first until you get used to it. But once you know how it works, it's easy to use. The application is relatively simple. You download the EasyBBQ app. Then launch the app and follow these instructions to connect. It lasted 20 seconds. You can choose the type of meat you want to cook and it is related to a set temperature that you can increase or decrease as you like. You can set a timer or just wait for the alarm to sound once the temperature reaches temp. I've used this several times and so far it's working as expected. The only problem I have is with one of the standard sensors. not working. I've tried this in each port and the ports work with other sensors. But not this one. So, I have a defective probe. The manufacturer gives a lifetime guarantee on probes. Therefore, I will ask to replace my defective sensor. When it works and on time. I will update and update this review.
