It wasn't as good as I had hoped. First, there are multiple types of counter sizes, and I believe my counter size was not supported. The company informed me that the size of my meter represents only 5% of the population. I was able to get around this by doubling the tariff per kWh, but that didn't give me an accurate reading of the electricity I was using. I also had a problem with the energy supplier. When they first came they took it off the counter thinking it was a counter control device. After weeks of fighting to get it back, I just gave up because I didn't find the device that useful. Even if it worked, it didn't tell me much. On the lower end of the scale, he didn't seem very sensitive. I tried turning off all my electronics, but no matter what I did, I couldn't get the meter to go below 11 cents an hour. I even tried turning off almost everything except my fridge. The only time I've ever seen a change was when I started something like a microwave or oven. Even with 3 TVs on, the counter didn't change. It was nice to see how much different devices can cost, but about 30 minutes of work with a calculator and your device manual can do the same thing. I just don't think it was worth the price and I would consider myself a gadget person!
