My son recently bought one of these and I was quite impressed with it. The outer case is made of textured plastic, but it doesn't feel cheap. The screen is nice and clear, and the keyboard is surprisingly comfortable, even for larger hands. The specifications are good enough for the money and the performance is high enough for normal tasks. HP was smart with the AMD processor and graphics. They also wisely used SSDs from a pretty good manufacturer. It's the perfect laptop for school, grandparents, or traveling with more than one smartphone. I don't know about the long battery life yet, but I'll update this review if that (or anything else) becomes an issue.
