An excellent device. I was looking for a way to burn some VHS home videos to DVD. I looked around and saw that a copied VHS/DVD set usually costs $250 ($150 will not be copied), then I looked at the services offered in various stores and Walmart and Walgreens were charging 25 to 35 Dollars for each DVD it was a bit pricey for me. So after reading some reviews I got this device and it works great. Once I got it, I installed the software and drivers for my PC, plugged the adapter into my VCR and once I found the right recording format, played it straight to the computer software that came with it. I was able to burn my tapes into digital files. The only downside I found was that the software that came with it wasn't very good for creating a DVD if you wanted to add chapters, menus, or really edit a movie. So I made digital files from the film material and created the DVD with the program "Movie Edit Pro" that I had already bought. But for the price of this device, it's clear that this is the best option.
