I bought them mainly for running. You do the trick! I have "trunk in the trunk" (not the stereotypical "runner" body type) and these shorts are not made for that. So they ride a little low in the back for the first mile and I have to reach out and lift them up a little. Once I get the hang of it they stay in place like glue, no problem. And I consider that a relatively minor inconvenience compared to having to settle for boring-looking running clothes, or lumpy, or uncomfortable, or prone to chafing. These shorts have none of those problems! Cute, sleek, comfy and NO TREAT. I've also recently worn them to swim and then run wet and they worked well and were just as comfortable! I think it would be a great choice for triathletes because of this good experience.
