This, of course, is not a serious lens, just to see what a wide-angle is, although in skillful hands it allows you to get interesting pictures thanks to aperture. An alternative to it on the Sony NEX is the Zenitar 16 2.8, which is a fisheye. Zenitar has noticeable distortion even on crop, but you get used to such photos in a week. The benefit here is excellent image detail across the frame and a wider viewing angle. In principle, you can also use the huge Canon 15-85, which at an open aperture easily overtakes the lens from Sony at f / 8.
