won't stay in place too weak

I ended up buying a competitor with a ratchet, it just wouldn't stay in place to trigger the zoom, it kept sagging or spinning due to the weight lightweight computer camera. I have a Logi 922, not a heavy camera, but it couldn't hold it in place no matter how hard I tightened the Phillips screws.
