Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, good quality, not bad.

A little offtopic for those who don't understand. In 2022 I bought a new MBP and have been with it for 6.5 years! I worked all these years only on it, every working day. I recently sold it for almost the same money I bought it, and it is in perfect condition, almost like new. It had i5, 16GB of RAM, 256ssd + 1Tb hdd and it is still awesome and everything flies. This is the real magic of MacBooks. I myself work in the field of web development. The main reason for switching to a new macbook is a complete transition to retina at work (the web must already be completely done in hidpi). The old laptop also connected 4k, but the built-in intel video card was not enough. Some people react strangely to MacBooks and consider them pure show off. This caught my eye when I was selling an old laptop. I never thought so and considered it only as a working tool. Causes irritation when an unjustified wow effect appears, or vice versa skepticism. It's just a good piece of iron to work with, if it didn't have the apple logo on it, I would also buy it and use it with pleasure. Please do not take a macbook if you are a weak sales manager and want to look better than you are) Better spend money on training. The only question is - is your work worth enough to buy a quality tool for the job?

Pros
  • - macOS. Despite the instability in recent builds, there is no better way to work. This is the number 1 reason why I don’t see an alternative to poppies. - Excellent screen, retina - Excellent sound quality, nice bonus - Design - The best touchpad on the market, there are no analogues - The keyboard, for all its shortcomings, is still not bad - Charging via usb-c is convenient, phone charging is enough for the laptop not to sit down during work or slowly charge in the slip - Excellent autonomy - Silent operation, despite the fact that there is one fan, it does not turn on most of the time
Cons
  • - There are only usb-c ports, there are many problems with adapters. - The case is really easy to chip, I only wear it in a case that lies in my bag) - For me, a big problem is the instability of the external monitor connection. The official apple adapter only supports 4k @ 30Hz, I tried various Chinese ones that promised hdmi 4k @ 60Hz, but it's all a hoax. I settled on a usb-c (thunderbolt) cable to DisplayPort, but still sometimes it incorrectly detects the monitor, sometimes the retina modes disappear (only 2: 1 remains), sometimes it drops to 30Hz. In general, trouble. I suffered for a long time with their support, but they were of no use. -I now connect all external devices via bluetooth, at first it was inconvenient, but now I even make fun of it. Came to work, stuck only a monique, everything else was already cut - Klava makes a lot of noise when typing, the convenience is average, you have to get used to it - They proved to me in the store that the keys on the screen are not imprinted, this is only if you press on the cover, etc. Nifiga, imprinted. In general, the screen is very easily soiled. - For this money, the iron is weak. This is offset by the speed of macOS. But if earlier people took Windows to install, now I don’t see the point. - no magnetic charging as before (magsafe), but there is an adapter. The only joint is that it weakly holds on and bounces all the time. - The charging cable immediately ordered another one, the quality of apple cables is known to everyone, the original gets dirty instantly
