Review on Rulaii Adhesive Wall Hooks: Max 15lb Capacity - Transparent, πŸ”© Heavy Duty Sticky Hooks for Bathroom and Kitchen - Pack of 6 by Monica Williams

Good hook. Removal instructions suck, here's how I did it.

I tested one on a spare IKEA shelf I had. I wiped the shelf down with a dry paper towel, peeled off the backing and glued it to the shelf, expelling the air. I left the hook at room temperature (68-70 F) for 24 hours and then hung a 2 lb weight from it (I know not to stretch it too far) and put a shelf on the end to hang the weight. The hook held up with no issues during the 2 days I tested. Since the removal instructions are really bad, here's how I remove the hook: To remove the hook, I used a hair dryer (a hair dryer will do) to heat it on low until the hook was fairly warm, and used a knife to pry open the corner. . Then I slowly pulled back the square around the round button. I think at least one warm up would make things easier. Then I put some pressure on the hook with one hand (not sure if that's necessary) and with the other hand pulled up one of the free sides. The hook left no mark and didn't remove the fake IKEA paper liner from the shelf. I wouldn't use the hook again as the pillow was bent from pulling on it and the glue looked (although I didn't test it) like it wasn't as transparent the second time around. If you (possibly) don't care about cleanliness and can get the pad to lie flat again (more heat when removing may help and it can lie flat again as is, but I haven't tested it) you can use it again if it does you liked.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old
