Review on AUXLIGHT Ultra Bright LED Bulbs: 1157 2057 7528 Xenon White - Pack of 2 by James Womble

bought for my 1968 Rambler American. although there was room for a larger "bulb" in the housing, i decided to do so for reasons of compactness. The base contacts are large and look solid. Of course the light pattern isn't the same as a crappy old 1157, so there's a round brighter spot in the center of the (old, faded) plastic lens, the entire lens (roughly 8"x 4") is very bright and about double as bright as the 2357 I picked up. Because it doesn't heat up, it doesn't accelerate the aging of already expensive lenses that are hard to find. I've already replaced the turn signal with a modern "loud" one, so I don't have the "hyper flash" problem with the LED bulbs not drawing enough current to run the old bimetallic type. We'll see how long they last.
