I was skeptical because it's really thin and pliable, but it saved the day. I had a rat that went through the kitchen ledge and climbed into the house. First I used styrofoam and it swallowed it whole and then came this copper mesh. I took a spatula and stuck as much as I could into the hole he had made. This stopped him until he ate another hole in another spot. I followed the same process and he gave up. I don't know why the rats don't chew it if it's easy to cut with scissors, but that doesn't matter. Works, non-toxic, highly recommend.
